At just 13 years old, Rusath Silva has already stepped onto an international stage many athletes only dream about. Selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Asian Para Youth Games 2025, held in the United Arab Emirates from December 7 to December 14, Rusath’s journey is a story of dedication, courage, and unstoppable ambition.

Rusath’s growth as a para table tennis athlete has never been a solo journey.
His family has been his first source of strength, encouraging him through every challenge and celebrating every victory. His coach, K. M. Sameera Raja De Silva, has played a major role in shaping his technique, discipline, and competitive mindset, guiding him toward the highest levels of performance.

Behind him also stand the National Paralympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports, providing opportunities, training support, and the platform needed to compete internationally. With their guidance, Rusath transformed his passion for table tennis into a pathway to represent Sri Lanka at one of the biggest para youth sporting events in Asia.
