Mast. D.L.Madew Dehigahawatta, a talented table tennis player, has been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Dubai 2025 Asian Youth Para Games

Trinity College Kandy is celebrating a proud sporting achievement as Mast. D.L.Madew Dehigahawatta, a talented table tennis player, has been selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Dubai 2025 Asian Youth Para Games, scheduled to take place from 7th to 14th December 2025 in the United Arab Emirates.

Madew will compete in the Men’s Singles – Standing (Class C9) event in para table tennis, marking a significant milestone in his promising table tennis career. His selection reflects years of hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.

This achievement has been made possible through the unwavering support and guidance of his coach, Mr. Sampath Kumara, whose commitment and expertise have shaped Madew into a national level table tennis player. Trinity College Principal, Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara has also played a vital role by providing encouragement and ensuring Madew received the environment and opportunities needed to excel.

The National Paralympic Committee of Sri Lanka announced Madew’s inclusion in a nine member youth athlete delegation representing the country in various para sports at the prestigious regional event.
