The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble MLA & Advisor (Sports & Youth Affairs) Shri Chau Zingnu Namchoom as the Presiding Guest, along with Shri John Neelam (Chairman, SAA), Shri Tadar Appa (Director, Sports), Shri Gumnya Karbak (Director), Shri Karbia Dodum (Assistant Director), and executive members, parents, and coaches of the Paralympic Association of Arunachal.

Arunachal Pradesh is fielding a 75-member contingent, including:

✅ 52 Para-Athletes

✅ 09 Officials & Coaches

✅ 11 Escorts & Support Staff

The team will represent the State in Guwahati from 27th–29th November 2025, competing across six disciplines: Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Para Chess, Boccia, Para Table Tennis, and Para Swimming.

The Sports Authority of Arunachal (SAA) felicitated all athletes with official team tracksuits. A specialised Sports Science Workshop, organised with the NE Sports Foundation, focused on mental preparedness, sports nutrition with local diets, sports psychology, and overall performance enhancement.

Hon’ble MLA Shri Chau Zingnu Namchoom reiterated the State Government’s commitment to strengthening para-sports and ensuring support at par with the Olympic framework.
